The Final Stretch

With finals still three weeks away, the pressure already begins to mount. As I figure out the probable outcome of each of the six of my classes things are looking relatively good. There are just a few outstanding assignments to look forward to in each of my classes. Five of the six classes have papers assigned in the next couple of weeks. Other than that, I’m on my own for studying the material. Most of my finals are comprehensive which will really test my long-term memory. If everything goes the way I’ve predicted I should get around a 3.6 GPA for this semester which is much lower than I had anticipated coming into BYU after my mission. The semester before my mission was a success in that I got a 3.79 GPA. If I do get in, it would be just barely as the competition is tough. Last semester, however, Dr. White reported that the lowest accepted GPA was a 3.4, an impressively low score compared to the past years’ average GPA of 3.8.Though my potential 3.6 is less than desirable, the total average GPA for the two semesters should be enough to get me into the Nursing program here at BYU. Dr. White also reported that only 75 students even applied which is in shocking contrast to the usual 130 applicants the college receives. Overall, I’m still on edge as I come into the final stretch. Once finals are over and my application is turned in, it’s a month of silence as applicants will not be notified of their acceptance status until late June.

Ya tengo la entrevista!!!

Acaba de llamarme a mi el CCM y me dijeron que yo venga a una entrevista el Jueves! Esto es todo lo que quería de un trabajo! El pago es bueno, el trabajo es interesante, y el ser misionero otra ves! Bueno, no seré misionero de tiempo completo, pero voy a ser maestro de los misioneros! Es prácticamente ser misionero excepto de que me pagan a mi. Es el trabajo de mis sueños!!!
